If you want your MIDI drum and percussion tracks to sound like they were played by a real drummer or percussionist, then you need LA Drum Studio. The LA Drum Studio patterns have consistently solid grooves. Hi-hats and rides groove naturally, kick patterns push forward, snares snap. The programmer was obviously paying attention to feel. LA Drum Studio was developed by an LA based studio drummer / percussionist in an effort to create MIDI drum and percussion tracks with a "human" feel. MIDI drum tracks can often sound computer generated or machine-like. LA Drum Studio tracks are clean, tight, and "in the pocket," but are also very musical and expressive. All of the drum and percussion tracks were performed, not step-recorded or created through the use of other sequencing techniques.
